The Difference in Perspective
One time, I was watching a movie on my laptop with my little brother. Then our little cousin came inside the room and watched it too.
It seemed like they were enjoying it, but then my cousin, who was five years old, said something like the movie being "dark."
I checked the brightness of the screen, but I thought it was sufficient. So I wondered why she said something like that.
Then I realized that we had different sitting height! She was seeing from lower eye level than me! I immediately lowered the screen to her eye level and I asked why she did not say anything to me about it. She just smiled.
I guess she hesitated to tell me.
We may be seeing THE SAME thing, but the WAY WE SEE it is different from one another.
It helps to put yourself into other's situation to know what they can see and how they see it.
This world is full of misunderstandings, perhaps we can lessen it one by one, starting from us.
Hello^^ I hope everyone is doing well.
