Time

Before I came to NUF, before I discovered the joys of webnovels or Chinese novels, I was an avid fan fiction reader and writer. I read thousands of AUs and what ifs about a fandom and even wrote some of my own. I still remember when I started to write fan fiction, I said with conviction: I'm not gonna abandon my fan fics like those irresponsible authors ever! Well, sad thing is that, before I knew it, I was embarking on the same path at those whom I call irresponsible authors.

Why did I write this in 4 am in my time when haven't gotten a wink of sleep yet? It had just been in a spur of moment that I decided to reread some fan fictions from before. Looking at the dates they have last been updated, I was suddenly struck by nostalgia.

Looking at those dates makes me remember how I had felt while waiting for updates before. I still remember back then I was like: Oh, oh! It has recently been updated. I can't wait for the next chapter next week!

It has been more or less 3 - 4 years since then. It felt like it had just been yesterday that I enthusiastically waited and waited for the updates.

This event struck me how fast time passed by. It made me a bit sad and anxious.
