tl;dr - short story of roughly 100-3000 words - any genre from a sci-fi to hardcore yuri/yaoi, doesn’t matter - you hold all copywrite and can do whatever you want with the final result - prefer all communication on NU - you should have some writing experience and want to try co-writing something for fun - projects with multiple people is possible - nothing stopping respondents from doing projects together and skipping me, I won’t mind So, in about 2 weeks I’ll be writing again with near unlimited time and I thought one thing is I’ve never written anything with a partner. Since it’s just for the experience I don’t care if you publish it on Amazon, your Patreon or whatever, it’s all yours. We can do it any number of ways, like a) one person writes first half, the other finishes, b) one person writes a point of view char each and we edit it to mesh, c) collaboratively on some live document, etc. Genre and topic can be something you choose or we bounce ideas until we find something to agree on. Since it’s short I’d prefer to be done before March.
How about... I give ideas, you write, I complain, you apologize, I steal the credit, you write the second one? Just kidding. I'm writing a horror one shot, but I'm far too inexperienced so I stopped it. Maybe you can help me?
I’m not sure what you mean, just a second perspective/advice? Either way send me a pm with a bit more about what type of help you want, I’ll have plenty of time soon. Edit: to be clear I’m not looking for ideas for my own stories, I generate too many at work to even bother making a note of. I just remember JA Konrath talking about some of his collaborations and thought I’d like to try it. Since I’ve first started writing and later selfpublishing on Amazon I’ve never tried it.
Me too. I got too many ideas I'm stumped at which should I work on. Also, you can forget what I said. I'm busy atm.
Sounds interesting. Do you have a short sample to show off your writing style? I'm particularly interested in the character names and setting that you like to use.
I suggest you go play one of those writing games here on NUF, go to community games and pick one such as this one https://forum.novelupdates.com/threads/wraufemath-registration.92598/
why not three people? 2 writers will hold the same number of characters, then the third one will be the all mighty narrator, the set up will be like, narrator will initiate a setting then writer 1 will make a character do or say things, he/she can also mention characters that writer 2 handles, well the 2 writers can only communicate during the start of the story, and no prior communication will be done while writing the story, well you can talk but no topics about the story. . . . it will be like those dnd games,
