I've read until the translated chapter 160 and I can't seem to remember sky/og wife's name. Was it ever mentioned?
Umm.. I tried searching for the MTL one but I cant seem to find it... Can someone provide the link please
So I've been trying to catch up on this novel recently as I let it stockpile. But one thing I find annoying is that I don't know what Maru's girlfriend's name is. I'm not sure if I just missed it or if it's not mentioned at all. The novel itself seems to never mention her by name. Can anybody tell me what it is?
To be honest, I want to break up with MC girlfriend. It's not i hate them but the way he doing his girlfriend its just uncomfortable. I know it's good intentions but he just evading himself.
so this novel is not too popular - looking at how active is discussion thread on it. chapter 427 - the rich young lady in ... dubious environment - I don't see this as any other loaded chick which is currently training with Maru under Miso - the one without common sense and not having friends and mingling in such environment.
they dont act nor have the same personality, if anything im guessing this new person will be related to the "madam" and Hong
What year is this supposed to be? They take photos with their phones, play online games and have blogs - so it should be at least something like 2005? But wiki says that even minimum wage in South Korea in 2005 was already 2,840 Won per hour - so how can "one would be lucky to get paid 3 thousand won per hour" (chapter 229)? And if it is 2005, considering time and money spent on auditions/travel to and from Seoul - 100 thousand won for the job looks like an absolute pittance (especially since they have actual lines to speak, and are important enough for the plot). Hell, Maru just received a neck-tie for half that! IIRC, ticket price was supposed to be 5 thousand won - "same as a coffee". That's one hell of an expensive coffee!
First phone with camera released in South Korea in June of 2000 Online games started in 1996 Blogs started even earlier
Ah, found it in the prologue. Maru died in 2031, at 45. So his 17 is 2003. And Korean minimum wage in 2003 was at least 2,275 Won per hour.
Kinda sad that you leave too many things untranslated. Why leave in all those "noraebangs" and whatever-the-word-for-korean-sauna-is when you can use "karaoke" and "sauna"?
I thought I went through this already. Why do we need a distinction between 'hamburgers' and 'sandwiches'? What about pasta and spaghetti? Why do we differentiate between the two terms? Because there ARE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THEM, and to respect their cultural differences. I'm NOT trying to advocate Korean culture. Heck, even if I wanted to, this isn't the novel to do it, with how dark it is. Korean noraebangs might have stemmed from the Japanese-style Karaoke, but they have their differences. The same goes for sauna and jjimjilbang. Heck for jjimjilbang, there's even a wikipedia article, to which I say: that's English enough. The same is true for ramyun and ramen. Are they similar? Of course they are. Are they the same? Hell no. That's why I don't translate them, and IF I do, I always leave behind a note
The word author uses is '환생', which is usually translated to 'reincarnation', but I generally change them into 'go back in time' or something along those lines
