I finally finished watching both. Frisk's fight was funnier to me. All the rage quits made me smile lots. Fighting animation-wise Marisa's fight was better though. I also finally understand where @brasca123's attacks from AG come from.

Oh, yeah, my reports have tons of touhou references, and straight out copies from it...

Touhou is a game, a top down scroller and bullet hell at that...

Uhn... I think it's easier if you see a video than if I try explaining it... Try searching for "Touhou MoF Extra Perfect", it should show you how the gamrplay works pretty well.

Ah, and all the games were made by a single person, at least the 16 main ones.

The fighting games are made together with Twilight Frontier.

I mean, the games' story isn't that detailed tbh, it's pretty simple.

I think you'd learn a lot more by reading the official mangas than by playing the games.

Personally speaking, I learned most of my touhou stuff by reading tons of doujinshis.

There are many fan's bias within the doujin and I AM BYAKURENHATER!

The doujinshis are pretty biased, and they also tend to have the fans own interpretations of things.

But well, after you read some 400ish of them, you do get some general lines that paint a good picture of each character and their personalities, stories and relationships.

Touhou's game is the main source of all fan-made. Music, draw, manga and even games use touhou's character.
If you want understand the characters, I advise read some wiki. Some info is official and some are fan's bias.

Yeah, I do play the games though.

The doujinshis just gave me a good notion for the characters I didn't play the game of yet.

There is a site to help you rank them. Unless you tied everyone, you moslikely have a ranking,

I like Nue concept and personality must more than other characters. The only downside is Byakuren.

I personally love the games, the graphic is cute, the gameplay is great and the music is... Daaaaaaaaw~

But well, it's a genre I always liked, so I had an easy time liking the series as a whole.

On the plus side, I don't think it is a hard series to get into, the learning curve is well made, with easy first stages and devastating last stages...

If you do try it, I recommend starting from the 6th game.

The first 5 games are... Very weird, and they work with a different canon than the rest as well...

The 6th is a good one to start because it has "continues" system that is better for newbies IMHO, so I think it should work out well.
