It sounded too dramatic for me. I like to read / watch action or stuff that tugs on heartstrings. Drama... there is enough in real life already.

Haha I avoid dramatic stuff like the plague. I would never watch that even if I am paid. I hate melodrama. All those stupid getting cancer 3 months left to live story. I avoid tragedies like the plague.
I will tell you one thing each from both stories

1 Todome no Kiss - Everyone ended up happy. No one died
2 100 Million Yen Women. One of the women disrobed whenever she got to the shared house. It is pretty funny. A bit sad but it is more thought provoking and about reaching your hands out to get happiness.

For an actual Melodrama : Innocent Man, it is Korean and technically my first. I actually enjoyed it but it's an outlier. Watching a girl being to bad ass is just too awesome
