I'm joking by the way, Dawson's Creek predates the O.C and I think the start of the highschool drama's in the 90's or 2000's

The issue with the Dawson's Creek is the fact that the rates were so bad that writes were fired, and the story was scrapped
Take how I met your mother for instance, yes Barney was more popular but they still ended up with Barney and Ted at the end, they put the mother and Ted together in the DVD for those who wanted that as an alternate it.

There was no story after season 1 of Dawson's Creek , it was simply drama for the sake of drama.
It became a ratings whore for lack of better word.
I get that shows have to make money but when you completely sell your soul

The creator even admitted to wanting Joey and Dawson to end up together.
It is an insult to story telling to pander so much. That is why Korean dramas are difficult to watch most times

By the way, just like how I met your mother. I will use the wikia to download only episodes of Summer and Seth. Thats the only couple I am interested in rewatching lol. I love Marissa but the drama was too much lol
