pierce also works I think and so would a bow. In melee side, ls and gs fare well too. Dont go with hammer. Hh does fine too.

heavy bowgun are nice. For diablos tho, you might wanna practice your dodge timing and i- frames coz that lack of speed due to hbg can fck you up once in a while... Also chasing diablos is gonna be a pain with hbg...

@Ddraig I main charge blade usually and by playing super defensively, I managed to kill it. I need to slow down my hunts...but yeh I intend to slowly figure out heavy bowgun with easier monsters.

Why not use the lance? I'm not far into the game, but I've found the lance is pretty easy against normal diablo, and block is useful.

Or if you use Gs tackle through it causing him to get knocked down

CB or S&S is good for Diablos :D
