I’d suggest you try watching Andhadhun, Raazi and maybe Kahaani (These are my fav ones from the top of my head). Bollywood has some good movies amongst the real old ones too

Frankly speaking, Thai BLs might seem campy, but they’ve got better plots than 90% of Indian serials. I don’t remember the last time I liked a Hindi serial sigh...And some flop movies do become cult classics

as long as the money is redirected to movies that I like I do not care lol
Even if they are flops, they hold an important cultural value and if there is an audience that enjoys it, despite it being say 50 years later, they should definitely be made.
Experimentation is a part of any art. Sometimes it’s a success, sometimes not. Just because it isn’t, doesn’t mean it should be abandoned. And Indian serials have lost that experimentation. Even there is a single serial that had a standout plot, it’d restore my faith.
Money isn’t everything when you’re in any art form, be it novels, movies, or even music.
