Wait what??? Do you mean, so you can focus better on finding the street names and not be distracted by other thoughts brought bout by the music?

That is normal, one's senses work better if you are focused on one of them and not overloading your mind with other data

I do that sometimes, cause music can be a distraction sometimes..

Example:
I need to stop by the supermarket while i'm on my way... ooh~ my favorite song is on~ ...dang it! I passed the supermarket..
