Just finished reading it. It was good, but I felt it's character work was weak. They didn't feel as alive. I also though the ending was rather blase, possibly due to the disconnect with the characters. But the story and ideas were solid and the prose was relatively good. I'd put at 3.5-4
There is Worth the Candle (which I've been reading for awhile). It's the best Litrpg world I've ever seen, even if the characters and story could use work
It's not perfect, but it's well-written and the author doesn't waste time on unnecessary prose and embellishment. The ending is both expected and unexpected. The romance isn't forced and it flows well.
