I don't think insurances cover when you brake you own cpu physically

Mmm...I think it would @sgrey , that is what accidental cover is all about if you have it. Thing is your premiums will go up though. And yeah, what an expensive f-up.

if there is such insurance that gives accidental damage to desktops, yes. I haven't heard of one. Usually, it's only for laptops..

because everyone was bending and breaking pins, the pins are now on the motherboard under the protection cover. CPU only have "spots" where the pins from the mobo touch. And a bunch of resistors and capacitors on the bottom

I have contents insurance that covers all my stuff for accidents natural or otherwise, at home or out and about. I don't claim on it often, but it will be that time when I don't that I will need it. ^.^

I don't know if home insurance would cover it. It might as well. It might be tricky, as it might cover the computer as a whole, but not the parts within. I guess it's a question for the insurance company :D
