The current demon king who was in fact a hero dethroned the demon king and sent Ophi, the actual blood heir to mortal world.

Ophi had dreams of this guy/girl and wants to avenge himself. He brings along Enigma on the way. He fights and loses everytime with the underlings but has a special ability which always revives him back from death (totally not demonic right?)

And then when he goes ahead to fight the current demon king, enigma's spell hits him instead as he is the real demon king. The end
