*sighs* the problem with this kind if game is it treads on D&D territory. It requires three things. Players, a Manager, and Time. It would be better to do this on a Discord or on Tabletop Simulator instead. Set a time aside to play altogether at once.
But I wouldnt have to feel inclined to host a game whenever people wanted to play. It would be public, so people can watch and learn, and it would be easy for other people to manage as well.
Yeah. Too exhausted from school and work. And today I finally get to visit the physician to see if I need surgery so...maybe while I am in the waiting room.
I'm thinking we just use D&D as a base, and then use other tabletop roleplaying games as filler for those other races and items. Boom. Easy database. The problem then becomes classes, skills, and spells.
I kinda like mystery Dungeon crawlers, so perhaps stealing some level design from those games or some free terrain ideas from the net for a more open experience.
The problem is the people. We cant make it too long, so maybe short skirmishes? Or actually scheduling an hour or two of gameplay each week? This is the hard part. People have different timezones and schedules.
I can easily just copypaste an arsenal of weaponry and armor onto a Google docs sheet for future use. I can do the same with maps but with google slides. Making use of Justabot for the rolls and the manager for the story, the only problem becomes schedule.
Ugh this is going to be a project, for sure. I think I'm going to make an entire dungeon town for people to explore. Backstory...stats...personality...dialogue options...irreversible decisions that change the very stability of the town...fuuuuuu
So no story, no lore, no background. In that case, rather than creating a leveling character, maybe I should create sets of avatars people would play as. Like being assigned Archer one game but being a Mage the next.
