The hidden cheat is that his soul wasn’t cleansed after his past life. He still has all the techniques he developed and experience he faced inside. That includes his kill count~

He can use techniques like mist body and course ki through his body to boost himself, but said techniques will need to be practiced before they be used all that efficiently and running ki through the body doesn’t really amount to much when it’s being used on a 10 year old’s body.
