Another problem is that in some BL, women are all written as being stupid or evil, so that we won’t root for them to get together with the men. I’m thankful for stories like “Earth is Online,” which have badass women and don’t fall into this trap.

I think you underestimate the hatred women have been conditioned to have for other women.
There is a reason when a man cheats, the other woman is attacked and not the man
It makes sense, society is ruled by men, if they don't divide women, given how women outnumber men if they gather together women would rule the world
Look at the US, people rather vote for an incompetent Trump over a competent woman
