Hey guys, I can't remember very well, but it was a fantasy novel with multiple races, there were two continents separated by an ocean, one of them was invaded by daemon and the races living there only managed to defend the coast, (and want to reclaim their land)... Another thing I can remember is that the humans living in the safe continent have almost never seen daemons, and one invaded this continent as a shadow... The MC was accompanied by a (fugitive?) knight, and they were stopped by a squadron of knights (and then i dont remember well but I think there was a duel and MC was not stopped)... Then the MC stopped at a fortress and at night, they saw a heavily wounded knight and they hesitated to let him in because he could be the daemon... (from there i dont remember well but I think they tried to see if he had all of his fingers etc... because daemon can't completly imitate a human but it turned out it was really the daemon). I know it is really confused, but I hope it is enough, thanks!
