The novel starts with the MC, who suddenly loses her memories from time after she was 17 and had a crush on a guy. She is in a cafe, and turns out, she is there to meet her crush who she is married to and born a son from. And he is a scumbag who wants a divorce because his new girlfriend is pregnant. MC's son is at his mother's place and this so-called grandmother is abusive to him. She is physically violent and also, they (scumbag father/ex-husband and this grandmother) named the child something bad/embarrassing because they were told by a taoist priest that the child will bring bad luck for his father. MC rescues her son with a help from police, divorces the guy but can't change her son's name to something good without consent of her ex. Thus, she decides to hire a passerby, who looks kinda like her idol from teenage years, to play a role of another taoist priest to convince him. Turns out, this passerby is really the actor she loved, but he had rough years because of false sexual harassment accusations and had to drop out of acting. Later, they become neighbors, open a restaurant together, then revise a script for a GL movie, in which MC is suddenly invited to play the character of second female lead.
