Tenga Toppa Gurren Lagan sounds like a good choice but Eureka 7 doesn't seem that good since I feel it doesn't seem like an anime that catches your attention at the beginning. I need one that hooks them right from the start so they don't start complaining to switch channels right away.
I thought of My Hero Academia but the scenes of Deku hurting himself and all that don't seem right and it also doesn't really seem to hook people right from the start. One-Punchman will be good since it's beginning is hilarious plus it's an awesome anime.
My Wife is a Mermaid? Is RomCom something kids will like to watch? And for Konosuba, I feel that it doesn't seem like a good introductory anime. Maybe a little too much sexual innuendos as well. I'm sure all kids have watched pokemon before but I think most believe that it is just a cartoon. I want them to watch something different from the usual cartoons and actively look up and find out it is actually an anime and look for more anime. And Yuri on Ice? Woah there bud, I don't want to be the one to be blamed for leading their kids onto a different path. I'm sure some parents are okay with their kids going down that path naturally and will accept it as God's will, but if they found out it was because of me... All I can do is pray to not make the same mistake my next life.
WTF do you want me to teach that kid! I'm pretty sure his mom will also kill me for this.
Yeah, but I don't want anything that has been shown on cartoon network like Avatar, Pokemon, Naruto, and Yu-Gi-Oh because I want them to know it actually isn't a cartoon leading them to finding out about anime on their own and then possibly seeking more by themselves

12 is the age where kids get curious, sex ed teaches about porn then they look it up. Might as well show him boobs early.

Kid ends up showing sex ed teacher about this anime saying he's learned it all already, investigation leads to me the culprit, no one's ever letting me babysit their kids leading to no more chances of active recruitment on the younger generation when their most vulnerable to temptation... I mean most likely period to develop new hobbies.

I got my sister into anime... she's not otaku level (I'm not either), but she does watch anime regularly (more than me at least. I'm a manga guy). I actually forgot the first anime we watched...

I doubt you can take them kids away from their ipads with anime. Why not try live action instead like power rangers and ultra-man these shows are more popular even in japan.

Doraemon. It's kinda safe. Or...maybe it's not really japanese anime, but I recommend Boboiboy if you're babysitting boys. The boys at kindergarden I teach at are love that one.

You do know most people who like anime got in on it with Avatar, Pokemon, Naruto, Yu-Gi-Oh and Dragon ball Z right.
