    Not Gundam Seed. It has some mature topics and the first prime-time anime to explicitly suggest that the main characters had sex. Not being a prude but it probably isn't that suitable for a 5 y/o

    Lol, seriously joke aside, there are already many recommendations, but from me :
    Naruto, Doraemon, Pokemon, Digimon, Dragon Ball, One Piece, etc.
    You must be prioritizing about a moral character for your little boy, he really needs a role model for him to idolize, & of course, you must be always with him when watching anime.
