I am currently trying to catch up to the latest chapter of The Strongest System. I am now on the part where he is confronting the Big Ancient Demon. And it keeps calling people 'Ants'. My question is, is 'Ant' used like a literal comparison to ants or is it a translation of an insult (something like 'Puny Human')? I would like to know because, how can something so big have an idea about ants? Ants to them are like dust particles or even smaller... or do they have knowledge about everything?
a villian who is powerful always has to adress weaker cultivators as ant, even if it doesn't make sense.
Why wouldn't it be able to know what ants are? His physical body would definitely be able to see them... Edit: I mean his eyes would be like microscopes. Aka very good eyesight. Anyway, I'm pretty sure that after a certain height difference, the size between an ant and a cultivator isn't much different. But to answer your question, I think it could be either one, but does it does go on to more comparisons with ants and combat strength so...
Sorry, been out all day... i didn't have net. True, but not really the point of my question... I see... that makes sense, but why would they gaze upon something smaller than humans in the first place? Do they go even past ants and stare at subatomic things? From what i can understand by the last part of what you said, it is more of a power level comparison? That goes back to my question, why would it have a concept of ants... which in turn goes back to the first part of my reply to you Lol true... So do you mean it is a translation of an insult? No, you But yes, it does not... are you implying it is just the translator's prerogative in translating an insult? Yes, but not in all novels... And none that I know of in The Strongest System...
