Question Arifureta WB and LN

So I want to ask what is the difference between the webnovel and a light novel , if any , should i start one rather than other and whats the deal with the dead links . And if someone can link with the chapter to start reading . Thx in advance !

 

the LN is more polished and refined. If you can buy them or acquire them through *ahem* other sources then do so and read them.

The WN had more then a few flaws and the disjointed TL situation didnt help. That's partly also why the dead links. Some of the TL sites either DMCA'd or just disappeared so you'd have to try and find epubs or pdfs of the WN chapters to read them all. Also, there was a chunk of chapters which were only either summarized or MTL'd straight so readers would miss out a lot.

Actually later All chapters got translated, and the worse parts retranslated, but they weren't up for very long before they got DMCA'd. But it's true that the horrible translation shuffling caused most of the varied outrage and hate on arifureta. Mainly because most of missing chapters appeared around parts where hajime & co. was starting to behave like normal isekai protagonist and it seemed like it would go to shit.(which it didn't)

 

I remembered that Japtem was the one who first translated Arifureta and then was passed to many others. Elemental Cobalt held the TL until bakapervert picked it up. Pretty sure there's archives(use wayback machine) in those two(Japtem and Elemental Cobalt TL) site I've mentioned.

P. S. you can copy those dead links in Arifureta NU page then run it through with wayback machine and see if there's an archive of it.

 

read the LNs now....they have xtra stories and details that have been skipped in WN....for example, when the rabbits assaulted the kingdom, the WN didnt mention Shia going on a rampage denying reinforcements to help the King just outside the hall....the there's a fluffy bonus story of how Myuu first became a papa's girl by showing remarkable marksmanship with all types of guns but saying that "she is not on papa's level coz she missed the mark by 5mm".....

Just saying, the manga version shows Tio being not a M when there was a stack in her ass. It's quite boring.
