Just wondering but does anyone here like to watch Asian dramas? If so, what's your favorite one so far and what genre do you usually prefer? For me, my all time favorite is Autumn's Concerto, not only because it was my first drama that made me get into Asian dramas, but I just like the overall plot. I just have a weakness for family drama and heart-wrenching scenes, I guess? XD And romance/action is my preferred genre~ (ノ≧ڡ≦) Spoiler: shameless advertising corner P.S. Oh lately I've been into the Korean drama Signal. Never watched Autumn's Concerto so I'll look into that!
Can't remember most of their names but I watched one that was kinda like GTO but korean, the lead was a dude who escaped jail and became a teacher if I remember it right. Then there was also another one that was about twins or brothers or just friends I think one was a cop undercover and the other was a crooked cop and they both liked the same girl or something. The one I can remember the most is the one based on a manga called My neighbors the yamadas which was a comedy about a poor family, anyways those are the ones I remember best.
my favourite dramas are Healer, Nirvana in Fire and Ugly Alert. As for genres, i can watch pretty much every genre if I am in the mood for it. Though I prefer Action and Comedy the most. Currently, I am not watching anything, but I plan on watching "the princess wei young". I have read so far that it is as good as Nirvana in Fire, so I have high expectations. like which ones?
Food and mysteries. If there is a romance that does not revolve around food or mysterious murders it is worth nothing. If there is a food or mystery that does not involve romance it is divine.
For me i usually watch the old fantasy c-drama rather than the new one, now i prefer their movie series.
Yeah I just love how they use the walkie talkie and everything! If only more dramas could be unique like it.
i dropped that series on middle of it. i think i was episode 8, it feels like the story dragging and the comedy repetitive.
I watch korean, japanese and some chinese My favorite this year is descendants of the sun and w And still running man and infinity challenge for k variety
k2 got so much hate, idk why. the acting was great, yes the plot could have been better, but i thoroughly enjoyed it for it was trying to be. plus again, the acting made up for any flaws in the plot. still have to get around to watching that, had it on hold on ep 1 since it started :/ the problem i have with old fantasy/historical c-drama is that Spoiler they all seem to have a tragic ending which really ruins the mood for me i dont mind them but not something i would watch for enjoyment purposes only when i feel like depressing myself out.
Couldn't watch Autumn's Concerto, the abuse was too much. The male lead supposedly raped the female lead. Favorite dramas: 9 Ends 2 Outs Ryokiteki No Kanojo: Japanese version of My Sassy Girl, much better in my opinion. It's an hidden gem... more realistic too In Time With You: Taiwanese, spiritual sequel to 9 Ends 2 Outs. Although I saw this first. Anything based on Jin Yong is usually good if they stick to the original story. Swordsman 2012 was the first exception to that rule but ran out of steam midway Honorable Mention: Empire of Gold: Watched this live with soompites and it was insane I Need Romance 3 : For the first time in a drama female rival characters are friendly to each other. Genre/Tropes: Nice guy, assertive female lead. Female lead bullying male lead. I need to join the drama discord @Mousa4
