So I have been really into Audiobooks as of late. I've probably racked up several hundred hours at this point, not including some of the books i have listened to more than once or just going back to my favorite parts. Long drives everyday make Audibooks quite the easy alternative to get my reading 'fix'.

So i am making this thread to throw out a couple of the series that i have found really enjoyable... and in return I'd like to hear what series or stand alone novels you think are worth a listen to.

Share whatever you want from whatever genre.
Feel free to share why you listen to Audiobooks so much too (if you do).

    Bobiverse
    http://www.audible.com/series?ref_=a_pd_Sci-Fi_c2__1_sa&asin=B01M1RDL6W

Has 2 novels out right now with it's 3rd coming out in a little over a month.
This is a really good and comparatively short duo of books. It has some very funny moments as Bob explores the Galaxy. This is most definitely Sci-Fi but it isn't a Military Sci-Fi even though there is an enemy to fight. The Author takes this chance to explore so many of the other aspects in a Sci-Fi novel that the generic books never cover.

You'll have a great time reading this ever expanding Bobiverse.

    Expeditionary Force
    http://www.audible.com/series?ref_=a_pd_Sci-Fi_c2__1_sa&asin=B01N9CUGHG

Has 3 books out right now with a short story due out in a few days. The 4th has already been released on paperback so the Audio version wont be very far away.
This Novel is a masterpiece in my opinion. The characters are written very, very well. In comparison to the Bobiverse this novel is quite a bit more serious. But don't take that to mean it is going to be drab and overly serious. Skippy (you'll learn to love him) gives much needed comic relief at all the right moments. Each book is over 15 hours meaning you'll get a good listen out of each book.

I have listened to these twice and i enjoyed it just as much the 2nd time around. Can't wait for more.

Go read the reviews since my short recommendations don't do them full justice.

I have a few credits lying around on Audible right now so i am looking for something to burn them on.
Definitely a fan of Sci-Fi and Fantasy but if you've got a good novel that isn't one of those genres share it and tell everyone why it was so good.

*** To those of you who don't like Audiobooks. I made a poll for you.

Edit: If anyone knows any good LitRPG Audiobooks please do tell me. Awaken Online was the only one I've tried and it was horrible. Only got 1/3 of the way through.
I'm interested in the genre but Awaken Online ruined it for me so i am reluctant to buy a different one. Need a solid recommendation.

That's coming out as an e-book in a month or two.

No word on if there ever will be an Audiobook version.

I used to listen to audiobooks a lot as a kid, "Fantastic Five" "Dealing with Dragons" "Harry Potter" nowadays I tend to avoid them. I'm mainly worried that if I listen to one of the books I like the voices will be weird and different from how I imagined them. Then when I try to read the book I'll start subconsciously hearing the voices. Which is not an unfounded fear, when I first tried reading "Long Live Summons" it felt like I was reading a story for 12 year olds, because the author had embedded images from the manhua into the chapter. Thankfully they stopped after three chapters, but seriously man so much cringe.

I agree that the Narrator is as important as the Author for Audiobooks.

LitRPG books don't make the transition to audiobooks very well in my opinion.

My preferred android audioplayer: "Smart AudioBook Player"
My preferred site to acquire audiobooks: "AudioBookBay"

I few names of series I recommend below, (Fantasy book series mostly)

    Spellmonger by Terry Mancour
Good Intentions by Elliot Kay (sex scenes are weird in audiobooks, this is done well though.)
The Malazan Book of the Fallen by Steven Erikson
The Stormlight Archive by Brandon Sanderson
The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher
The Demon Accords by John Conroe
    Iron Druid by Kevin Hearne
    Sandman Slim by Richard Kadrey
    Hellequin Chronicles by Steve Mchugh
The Kingkiller Chronicle by Patrick Rothfuss
Acts of Caine by Matthew Woodring Stover
    Gentleman Bastards by Scott Lynch

Nightlord by Garon Whited, narrator Sean Runnette
Anything Sean Runnette reads which includes,
    Zombie Fallout by Mark Tufo

The series listed have narrators that are worth listening to and have several books in their series.
Though I don't know if your tastes are similar to mine.

    Thanks man.

There are a few there I've been on the edge of getting only to put one in a higher priority.
Seeing that, our tastes should be relatively similar. I'm gonna have a lot of listening in the future with all those series.
    :)

Thank you for recommending those audiobooks. I'm looking for a SCI-FI one in 2017-2018 edition. Anyone can help me?
