I like this novel but one thing that kills me is that the author always stretches out the leveling for the MC. In the beginning it'll be something like "early, mid, late stage." Then when our guy starts to get strong it'll be more like, "early, mid, late, peak." Then when our guy gets really powerful it'll be like, "early, mid, late, peak, half step." Then when our guy is on the cusp of greatness it'll be like, "early, mid, late, peak, half step, half-half step, half-half-half step and 3 quarters....." Ugh! Really annoying.
I realized this when i read the synopsis for Yao Lao, but we have no idea whats happening with XY's mom huh? I mean the ring was her heirloom right? They never even mention her...
Good point. I was going to ask about that actually. I skipped a few chapters and I was wondering if it was ever told how exactly MC's mother got Yao Lao's ring in the first place. I guess it wasn't. Huge plot hole.
I'm kind of sick of XianXia authors giving MC powers that just doesn't make sense. Who the f*** wants to see their 'firebending' MC turn into a f***ing giant? That totally ruins his image. Palm techniques or whatever sure, not too much of an image change but a f***king giant?
Gotta say, I really like the Hun clan as villains, compared to other novels where the villains feel lackluster, the Hun clan feels legitimately sinister and terrifying.
B-b-but..... fire can grow pretty damn large! lol. But i do agree. It'd be nice if they could have this one system that evolves and they add to it instead of at one moment they fight with a sword, then a halberd right after oh let's add a sickle too because it's awesomesauce. Some finger techniques here, some spirit ones there. At least make it connect, for instance if he uses fire, a fire finger technique or something , not 'demonic illusory thousand devil destroying heavenly finger' or something.
I read the name once but theres no Info on it ...No info at all (At least in Eng i havent checked Ch)
