So I started MLTing this, I am only at chapter 47 and there are 68 chapters available. so here is what I've got so far: Spoiler: proposal the ML He Yu and the MC Su Qiuzi met at the dining table of the MC's step sister's birthday. they haven't even exchanged a word but he proposed to her. the Father of the MC wanted him to marry is second daughter (the step sister/the one he cherishes and cares about) but he countered by directly proposing to the eldest daughter (our MC/ the one who is neglected and bullied in the Su Family). the Su family and He family had a old feud, because father Su betrayed Grandpa He. it was related the the construction business, where su left the He group at their hardest time and started his own company and gained the market shares of the He group. So it was stipulated that this marriage was to allow the Su and He groups to work together and berry the hatchet, yet ML chose MC and not her step sister (Su Ai) because he still wanted to keep a distance and not make them think that is issue was totally over. Spoiler: ML family ML's parents are divorced and his mother is a teacher of MC. the mother in law likes her a lot and treats her as a daughter, because she knows how the MC was neglected by the Su Family, the Mother has a daughter from her second marriage, who gets along well with MC too. ML's grandpa wasn't happy with the wedding and wanted him to divorce her. he even asked the ML to bring her for Chinese new year, and as soon as they came to meet him he had a lawyer with him and asked them to divorce right away. ML refused and grandpa ended at the hospital. later he came to accept the MC Spoiler: the couple the couple became intimate from their first night of marriage, and they started growing closer little by little. for his birthday, she learnt the date from the ML's step sister, so she went to the pottery shop she works at and made him a bunny. he didn't know that she was preparing him a small birthday party, and stayed late at his work celebrating with his team, when he came back he found the cake in the fridge and she gave him the bunny while she was half asleep in bed. he asked why she made a bunny, and she answered that's because she is a bunny. they grow closer little by little. MC had always thought that when collaboration between Su and He groups end they will divorce so she kept on working part time and trying to save money for herself. and as they grew closer she started to worry more about the divorce. When Grandpa He tried to force them to divorce, she thought that was it, but ML told her that he will never divorce her that if she is ok with it, they will stay forever without divorcing. she usually awards him with sex to thank him (even though they pretty much do it every night they are together). so one day he told her that she can't keep saying thanks with sex, she is his wife and she should say thanks with love. she is trying to fall in love with him, and he is too sweet to her, so of course she starts falling. Spoiler: MC family the Su family are the worst!!! it is not only the step mother and step sister who bully the MC, but even the mere nanny..the father doesn't care at all about her, he only ever paid for her tuition and living expenses, and she slept at the Su house attic literally when she was off from school. Spoiler: ML supporting MC against Su family ML & MC went to the Su house for Christmas, the step sister was angry for the MC and the "stolen fiancé" were there, her mom told her that they will definitely divorce soon and then it will be her opportunity to get married to him. she brought her daughter the the living room and tried to create a topic of discussion between ML and her daughter, and asked MC to go prepare dinner table with her, ML wanted to go help MC but she told him not to. while preparing the table, the nanny through a bowl of hot soup at MC (who was clever to dodge it) and pushed her on the broker pieces, MC cried, and ML came to the rescue, she had a slight burn and ML wanted to take her to hospital, the step sister got angry and told him, that it is nothing that he should stay and eat, ML replied that it might be nothing but it hurts him that MC is hurt, and storms out with MC. and the chinese new year dinner the step mom and daughter stayed put (father Su lectured them apparently) He forced them to fire the nanny who bullied the MC, also told father su that MC being bullied by nanny is also partly his fault cause he was too busy with work and didn't notice, and forced father Su to buy the same sports car that Su Ai wanted for MC too to start acting fair to MC ( step sister was fuming lol). of course father su did cause he wanted to be in a good relationship with ML. actually for both occasions he didn't even greet MC with more and a side gaze, but he was so happy seeing ML. Father Su then went back on his word and told MC that she has to get pregnant to get a car, and he will add a house too. she told ML, and ML told him that it was his choice not wanting a child and that he shouldn't go back on his word. Spoiler: MC first love MC's issue with love is that the driver who died with her mom, had a son (named Luo fan), the boy baited her to love him without her knowing, by giving her kindness and care that she never received (cause her father is trash) then when she confessed he told her who she is and he blamed her (as if she hadn't suffered enough ) it broke her heart and she attempted suicide (her father is such a failure he didn't even know it) Spoiler: MC mother death Her mother is said to have tried to run away with the driver (her lover), and a track hit and killed them when the MC was a baby. Luo fan (first love) came back later as as an criminal investigator,they met while MC is working on mystery television show, and he told her that their parents death might not be an accident cause the driver that killed them has received a large sum of money that was disguised as payment for his burnt house. it turns out that Su father wanted to leave his first wife for his now wife cause she is rich and use her to build his Su group, so MC's mother stole documents and asked the driver to take her to He family, and Su father got a hint of it and sent the track driver to kill them

they do lose everything. the ML was planning on using the FL to avenge his grandpa in the start. Spoiler: Spoiler He knew that the Su father killed his wife, he was planning on using MC to get close enough to Su family to bring them down for betraying his family and causing his grandpa to collapse. and after he was done with his revenge he was thinking that he can divorce her or stay in the marriage if she wants to. then he started loving her but still he didn't say anything to her about her mother, even after her being humiliated by his grandpa due to the rumors of her mother eloping with her driver. the ML brought evidence to the public about Su father paying a truck driver to kill his wife and her driver. MC finds out that ML is behind it, she is hurt because he hid the truth while knowing how much pain she went through due to her father's lie. and their short crisis starts, they start living separately, she works on program overseas, until she almost lost her life in an earthquake and he rashes there with all his money trying to save her and her team, and they eventually make up.
Thanks for the spoiler.. I am wondering why he reject to marry her sister (Second daughter) who Su family want to match with him.. by marry her sister he can overpower Su family even faster and take revenge.. why he want Su Qiuzi..
i feel like ML was thinking that MC was a victim in all this so he preferred marrying her rather than the stepsister who was not very innocent...?

Dont you think he's way too sweet to her.. its nothing like pity or using her.. his grandpa also reject the idea and demand for them to divorce. Its there something can be share about the ML POV
Ima be honest I'll take that over what most of these MLs have been. Maybe using her for betrayal but falling in love is at least forgivable. I would need more of his POV too

Hi I just finished reading this novel. I just created this account to give back to the novelupdates community since I've read lots of spoilers here Fair warning the spoilers below are quite detailed Spoiler: what happend to the family the father was imprisoned for his crimes and if I remember correctly the Song family's business waa also acquired by the He family Spoiler: He Yu He Yu truly loved Su Quizi but he still kept the truth from her because he thought she would not be able to suppress her anger and attack her father which would jeopardize He Yu's plan as the father would know that they knew the truth. However, Su Quizi told him that she would have been patient not for her father but for He Yu because she loves him. Su Quizi left their house but did not divorced He Yu yet. He Yu barely eats and immersed himself to his work because he was deeply saddened by Su Quizi's departure. He also acknowledged that he was in the wrong. He Yu gave 75% of the shares of the Su family to Su Quizi and also told her that it is hers because they are husband and wife. Su Quizi said what if I divorce you and for the first time He Yu looked panicked and said "Please don't". He still left her apartment and respect her wishes to separate in the meantime. However, He Yu planned that should really drift apart he would chase after Su Quizi and made her fall in love with him again. The earthquake just basically hasten his plans. Spoiler: He Yu's Mother He Yu's mother is still so nice to Su Quizi. She actually adviced Su Quizi to divorce He Yu haha. She also told Su Quizi that they may divorce but she will still be her daughter Spoiler: Earthquake Su Quizi was working on a documentary on Tibet when a Magnitude 6 earthquake struck. When He Yu learned of this he immediately went to Tibet and hired his own rescue team with equipment. He joined the rescue team and tirelessly dig through rubbles. Kane was worried for him as he only takes a little rest. When they finally reunited, He Yu cried. Spoiler: He Yu's feelings He Yu really did love Su Quizi. He asked his grandpa to accept Su Quizi and this is the first time he asked his grandpa for anything. His sweetness ia really genuine but unfortunately he had to betray her. Spoiler: Back in China He Yu brought Su Quizi to the hospital after arriving in China. Su Quizi teased He Yu and told him that the doctor is handsome. Su Quizi wondered if he never gets jealous since He Yu did not react. He Yu offered to take her home and she slept in the car. When Su Quizi woke up she saw that she was back in their home and not her apartment. She asked He Yu to take her home and to be reasonable but He Yu told her that why should he be reasonable. She told him that he is still not forgiven and He Yu told her that he will make up for it. She tried to argue but He Yu would just kiss her each time. He also asked her who is more handsome him or the doctor while getting near her. She answered the doctor at first but He Yu wouldn't stop getting near her so she finally answered that He Yu is more handsome. He Yu told her that he does get jealous in the past he just don't want Su Quizi to know. They became more affectionate and open to one another. They slept in separate beds but He Yu would kiss and hug Su Quizi all the time even in front of so many people which would embarass Su Quizi.
he rejects the sister because she is the father's preferred child. he wanted to be part of the family but also maintain distance in order to perfectly execute his plan, that is why he married the fl she is his child but is distant enough and doesn't rely on the father much. about the sweetness, he is quite sweet, perhaps it is because he comes from a broken home, father not there mother remarried since he was 5, he wanted to be a good husband to her, since he already married her and was planning on staying with her, if she wanted, after the plan was executed.
