And about the fact that she had "secret lover" (the one that he had seen "slept" with her at the beginning.) Then the turning point was when he got very jealous and Spoiler: very spoilery raped her after that he really regretted it since he found out that she was actually still Spoiler virgin, but she herself didn't know that she was a virgin bc after he raped her, she was very upset and ordered her maid to burn all the bed cover and the curtain. Then she got pregnant but the emperor tested her by ordering her to drink the abortion potion. She pretended to be willing bc she believe that the emperor wouldn't let her abort. When the emperor saw her about to drink it, he slapped the potion cup and after left, he coughed blood (bc previously he was poisoned and not yet fully healed.) @Rena.anggreina I've read it till the end, do you want me to summarised all of it till the ending? The uncle actually genuinely felt in love with her (the past self and the current) but his mother believed that the throne should belong to him so forced him to fight for the throne. Anyway the reason why the uncle's mother wanted the throne to be uncle's was... Spoiler She was twin sister of the emperor's grandma. She was originally supposed to be wed into the palace but the grandpa met grandma and felt in love with her. Later grandma dying after giving birth and made her twin sister promised to pretended to be her. Grandpa actually knew but pretended not to bc it was grandma's last wish. The uncle's mother got very jealous bc the emperor never touched her so she laced emperor drink with aprodisiac and later pregnant with the uncle. She plotted the death of the previous emperor (the current emperor's father). Empress dowager and current emperor knew that she wasn't really emperor's grandma but pretended not to, bc she was very evil.

The emperor also wanted that bc of her powerful family (he couldn't let her family grew more powerful by having the crown prince). Then as her pregnancy goes, she started to love her baby to be. But she knew that the emperor was planning to abort it, so she made a bet with herself by pretending to be willing to drink the abortion drug. When the emperor saw that, he was devastated bc he thought she really hated him and the baby. Then he actually got nicer to her, paid her more attention, asking the empress dowager not to bully her (by pretending to be drunk and whinning to the dowager). But the empress dowager made the cousin pretended to be pregnant too. Then there's plots by the uncle and uncle's mother to get rid of both pregnancy. So the emperor pretended to accused her of cheating and pregnant with bastard and punished her by house arrest (he was protecting her by not allowing anyone entered her palace) Then when she gave birth, he took the baby, went to the place where she was originally felt in the 1st chapter and threw the baby from the 2nd floor. @Elv it was the same concubine.... the cousin concubine later faked her death and got married with the MC's elder brother.... @Liri when she witness it, she fainted and then refused to eat or do anything for 3 days. The emperor could only saw her from afar and when she refused to eat, he also didn't eat anything. Later the cousin concubine purposely enraged her to gave her motivation. Then when emperor told her that the baby was fake, she was happy bc the baby still alive @kiara8 no she didn't freak out at all, just shocked and later when she knew the truth, happy. p.s. I actually quite dislike the heroine bc of her negative prejudices toward the past owner of her body. After she knew about the "cheating" accident, even though her personal maid told her that it was impossible for her (the past owner) to do that, she kept thinking that it was given that the emperor was cruel toward her and started to get a better view about the emperor. (I mean rly, she didn't even check the fact first) Then also how she believe that the past owner was a jealous b*tch when she was suspected of killing one of the missing concubine. (again w/o checking the fact, she just believe what others accused her of. Even though her personal maid again and again told her that the past owner wasn't like that) Then when the emperor admitted that he only used the marriage as a way to strengthen his power to gain the throne and felt guilty about it, she thought that it was the past owner's fault and that she knew what she got into when she wanted to marry the emperor. Like RLY? so much for double standard...
Yes she felt in love with him at 1st sight before entering the palace. Then at the palace we would see later that she would intentionally harassed (framed) him a few times, but he seemed to tolerate it (hinting he was attracted to her). He thought she was cute and of having similar personality to his sister (the MC or the past owner, seems like the past and current MC had similar personality) -> I think the brother is M? since her framing him resulting in him getting punished by beaten.... Then there was an explanation of how she was actually asked by the empress dowager to enter the palace to counter the past owner (MC) as empress. I still doesn't like her though, so I was quick reading through the part about their romance, it was so unbearable to read.

Eh? I also don't understand chinese, I read all of those novel with MTL, at first it was very confusing, but later on you'll get used to it and in the process also ruin your english grammar that you'd learned for years (if english is not your 1st language, like me).
