I have recently just started using Firefox(have been using Google Chrome for years) and I am looking for some add-ons that will make my life easier while using Firefox.
uBlock origin Blocks ads and protects your privacy. Is also easy to configure. Some kind of (file) video downloader (I use the paid version of internet Download Manager) That's everything that I need.
As someone who has been using Firefox for years and has since been using Google Chrome as well, I think Chrome is better... I also recommend uBlock Origin. Also, Firefox's version of Chrome's Incognito Mode is Private Browsing, which can be easily accessed with Ctrl + Shift + P
I use reader view all the time. Some pages for whatever reason wont let me use it. I use an add on called activate reader view to force any page into reader view.
Tres style tab Allows you to open multiple page tabs, to the left of the screen without collapsing your system.
Don't know, I only have 3 add ons. Ublock, zoompage (handy to set zoom on all webpage) and video dowloader something...

uMatrix and uBlock origin : replaces all the UNTRUSTWORTHY add-ons like Ghostery or Adblock with dubious means (allowing some ads, etc). Also remove the need for Noscript unless you wanna be very specific about scripts. Canvas blocker, HTTPS everywhere, Decentraleyes, Privacy badger, Element hider, Grease Monkey, Stylish and myWOT are additionally very good to have.
