Discussion Best kind of godhood for you?

As the thread title asks.

 

The one that makes me the main character

 

The kind that doesn't require worship to sustain. That'd be quite tiring to deal with, both to increase power and sustain. You'd have to do so many pointless things to spread and maintain influence.

 

God means god, a supreme being that is omnipotent and omnipresent, that is what a god is, there is no 'what kind' otherwise the meaning will completely changes, adding more to it might make the word lose some power tho (like god of fire or god of war, etc...) and in this case the use of the word god is probably the wrong term to use, 'deity' on the other hand might slightly differ in meaning and I do see uses like 'goddess' to refer to beautiful women
Which mean that people are misusing the word and like to bring down and limit the definition of 'god' just because of either incapability of fathoming what omnipotent and omnipresent means or that they actually believe that they can put limit and judge it by human means and logic (which of course does change the meaning of the word, if I am to use a better explanation, it is like calling a king by highness rather than your majesty, of course god means a being much higher than a king)

 

I wanna become a kind of system god and watch my bad game of sims unfold when theyre in another world feeling like an mc of a novel

 

I like the system god idea but I wanna the novel type of system god where I can break the main couples and cause chaos cuz there are some novels out that way too many trashy couples yet they still get happy ending.

 

The kind that is more powerful than the pitiful peasant that manages the speck of dust that is Earth.

also i will be able to watch the most fun things humans can do:
war, sex, weird sex, science, weird science, weird war and everything in between!

The one that is the absolute begining and origin which is equivalent with being itself existing above space and time and the supreme principle of all. In the first place, any other kinda godhood is just weird creatures with superpowers.

 

It's hard to choose to be honest. I'd like to choose immortality since I'm afraid to die. But there's the obvious downside of immortality: seeing your loved ones grow old and die.

Then there's omniscience, which can be a curse, especially if you combine it with loved ones. Imagine meeting someone you might like, and immediately knowing every dark thing about them. Imagine knowing when your spouse is going to die, but knowing you can’t do anything to stop it.

So I think... I'd rather choose Reincarnation. Everytime you die you get reincarnated into another life, as either something better or worse than before. Depends. So imagine if you’re a god, you can just step down—then you can die and go back to heaven or wherever.

 

And has an omni-headache.

 

I just want omnipotence. Being omnipotent doesn't change your innate nature of who you are, and you can do whatever you want. If you get bored, then I guess I'll sleep for eons.

Omniscience means knowing all, you know how much that would mess with your mind? I suppose you can adjust your nature and mind with your omnipotence, but that means you simply aren't "yourself" anymore. If I was a God, one of the core values that would use to anchor me for who I originally am would be the belief and restriction that I must not tamper with my emotions and state of mind.

As for omnipresence, why would I want to be "all" or "everywhere."

Also, before I sleep, I plan on leaving intelligence life forms everywhere and leave traces of my existence and clues on how to awaken me. I would grant them a wish if they manage to do so, think of it as dragon balls or something of the like.

 

Heh, misusing the word 'God' when most of ancient cultures in the world are polytheistic with division of power between gods.
