    I've started sucking on tea candy while reading lately. But it's something I would have to move my hands to eat I just wouldn't eat while reading. With reading as the priority of course.

    I can't really enjoy food while reading, especially if I'm concentrated or it's one of my favorite novels, though I don't mind drinking coffee and sometimes even alcohol. I prefer eating snacks while watching anime instead.

    A snack to eat while you eat has to be something you eat with one hand. Hmm I guess some good choices would be pizza, ice cream or snack cakes.

    Pickles and tomatoes. Small pickles and grape tomatoes, preferably, so you can eat them like popcorn.

    Chocolate milk or tea, either way is good. Soda can do if you don't have either. Water is more of a last resort. It's not bad to drink, but it isn't exactly the most delish thing in the world.

    No foods or drinks that you have to prepare. That just takes time away from the reading.
