So I only read up to chapter 40-50. The rest i just skipped. Mc got pretty boring. He really didnt have much competition. From 50+ mc story is just mc pure fluff everyone loves mc everyone protects mc Mc accomplishing his goals stepping up the fortune ladder. After chapter 50+ i only read about the side characters because i had a ton of questions that needed answering. What happened to the villian? How did mc's family redeem themselves? Did mc and his family make up? Most the the novel was angst/tragedy. First half is mc's misfortune and tragedy. The second half is mc's family's despair redemption and mc's opponent's misfortune and tragedy that mirrors mc's. Fyi happy ending. Spoiler: Fu Zhen Fu Zhen = mc - intersex: mc has both male female parts. Lol i think he ends up kinda crazy. I think he is the typical prince charming kinda type Or the typical supporting character but with a twist. Lol but he's so unrealistic. I was waiting for him to leave her. She verbally abuses and physically abuse him. He just takes it. but he is her cause of pain and shes his joy? Like wtf? Oookay............... ╮(￣▽￣)╭
my take on it is it all about his pride. i think he just invested his all on her and figured that even if everyone were against her, if he stuck with her thru it all she would eventually go back to his ideal girl.. but she didn't, and in the end his pride became twisted.. it was an interesting read though..
Spoiler: Fu Jianchen Fu Jianchen = mc's dad. Love mc very much. Helped mc financially to develop an anime. Also possibly a movie that was never released, but stolen by another director. He was known as a man who never regretted his action. He's very straightforward. He gets the job done. He is very successful. He was also the one to make mc a cripple by pushing him down the stairs because mc was falsely accused of trying to kill his sister. He was actually under the influence of the bad system. Tang (the sis of mc) said that both the dad and brother. Although they both were under the system influence and did what she wanted. If it was a bad deed towards mc, they still stopped. She had to kinda.... Kinda hard to explain.... Like do it twice? So when the bro and dad see her. She becomes thier world. They see nothing but her. If she commands them to do bad things to mc. They stop. And she has to make them focus on her again to force them to do it. Ex) mc LoVes spicy food but cant eat it. He gets stomach aches. Mc's dad and bro stop him from eating spicy. So when she insisted mc eat spicy. The dad took a pause but he cant do anything, then the daughter will ask, "dad?" When he sees her he will lose his reason and do what she wants. Even under her control he would try to do little things for mc. When mc was young he got really sick. The dad would pray that the temple and then the son got better. After that every year thinking that praying helped his son. He would go pray for mc every year at the same day. Even during the 2yrs mc was away. The dad never stopped. Everynight the dad had nightmares of his baby boy. Wanting to hug him, but his son would disappear. His son would reappear as an adult and say " i hate you" . sometimes in dream mc dies and the dad is so devastated. But when he sees tang he forgets mc and the dream. He always kinda has a feeling of dread and fear inside. Only when the movie mc made but was released by another director did he watch it and cry. The move was a gift from mc to him. In the movie the dialogue wasnt changed. "I want to be with you forever" words mc felt about his dad. After that dad went to the back yard "rockery" i think its a little rockey hill? This was what the movie was based on. When mc was younge he use to like to name everything. At the foot of the rockry there was an uncut verson or extended verson of the movies. It was a gift for the dad but mc left before he could give it to the dad. When tang came, the dad tried not to look at her but he couldn't. Then he was under her control again, but after that he was slowly coming back from her control. When he finally broke free of tang, he was si devastated. How could be do that to his baby and how could he forget his baby. He must be old. He visted mc's room. Mc didnt take anything when he left. Dad tried desperately to see mc. Tried to find out how he lived. All the bad things tang did to mc so he can do the same to tang. Dad tried to kill tang (not sure how. The hubby only mentioned this) but hubby stopped him. He investigated tang. Turns out she wasnt his daughter. He wanted her stocks back from the fu family. He also tried to help mc but always failed because mc's hubby was always a step ahead and helped him. After gaining control of his body. The dad aged terribly fast. He stopped working. Gave all the work to his other son. He would be absent mindedly staring at things that reminded him of mc. He was wasting away. Redemption: after finding mc's new home. He wanted to see how he was doing and all that, but mc didnt want anything to do with him. Mc never wants to see him again. The dad was very devastated. All he could do was help mc behind the scenes and watch mc from a distance. He attended mc's wedding. When asked if you love mc so much why did you do those bad things. Dad could never justify it. He would just look down and shake his head. He doesnt know why and even when mc asks. He cant seem to amswer. After like 100 chapters of working hard for forgiveness. Mc finally opened up because seeing the strong dad look so frail and lonely from a distance in the cold just to see himself kinda broke his heart. The dad actually was against the gay relationship but because of thier current relationship the dad will accept anything now. He always feel incredibly guilty when he sees mc's crippled leg. On day mc goes on a trip for work on his movie as a director. Ml was busy working. So the dad gladly raised his hand to go with mc. Ml and bro was left behind in the cold dust. Lol. On the trip worksite. There was an earthquake. Ppl told the dad to just stay in a safe area but the dad was histerical. He was late in saving mc last time and he never wants to be late again. He runs to find mc and mc tells him to go save himself. The dad doesnt listen. He takes all the debree off mc and carries him to the cab or hospital. Dad is old now. He's struggling hard but very determined this time to save mc. Mc is very touched and realized how old his dad is now. He remembered when his dad was tall and strong, but now hes so old and frail. Mc finally calls him dad again and cries. At the end a system appears to help heal the damage that the bad system did. The system asked if they have a wish and dad wished mc's leg would be restored. System allowed them to have thier memories of the system because it would be unfair for everyone not to know the truth, that they were manipulated. The system said the dad aged fast prematurely because of the bad system. Mc and dad at the end finally work thjngs out. The relationship isnt like how it was before tang but it was still better. My favourite part of the story was when, mc was kidnapped. Mc was starved, dehydrated, beated and almost died because the dad wouldn't pay the ransom fees. Mc really liked ml so if he died he would at least give ml all his money. When he was rescued by ml, mc was on a bed with ml at his side. *I totally thought it would be the stereotypical " i love you confession momment" but it wasn't.* Mc: can i tell you a story? Ml: ok. Mc: When i was young, i was a naughty kid. One day when my dad and brother were away. I hid up in a tree. The maids were all scared they couldn't find me. They eventually called my dad back from a business trip. He came back fast and i jumped into his hands. He coaxed me all night and beat me the next day. Lol. My brother told me the next day dad lost a billion or million contract. When you took me to the hospital and i saw a little boy calling for his dad. I normally don't miss him, but at times like this i miss him so much. I also realize finally that he's never coming to save me again. *Tears* Lol wow i thought it was a great little story. I love the little stories in this novel. I find it very touching and moving. Spoiler: Fu Ting Fu Ting = mc's bro Loves mc very much. Even when he was controlled. He still tried to fund the special effects company for mc's movies. The company was never given to mc because by then mc was gone for 2yrs because of tang. When mc came back and started directing again. He found out the company was established for him and that his bro pushed him to work for mc's movie. He actually kinda broke the sisters control first. He visted mc's room, but would always be controlled by the sis again till the wedding night. When he was under her control he would feel pain when he did bad things to mc, but couldn't figure out why. When he woke up from the control he found out why. It was his body telling him. It was wrong. Like the dad he wanted to make up with mc but mc wouldnt accept him. Didnt want to see him. So like his dad. They tried to help mc behind closed doors and always stayed a far distance because mc didnt want to see them but they wanted to see mc. One time the bro stepped in to help mc and as mc walked away he sees the lonely sad figure of his bro. Mc actually use to love his bro a lot. It was sad to see him like this. Later when the dad and mc's relationship got better. Bro would beg to join them. Later when questioned about love. The bro said he doesn't have time for that. He wants to use his life to make up for all the things he did bad to mc. When they're relationship got better, of course he was very happy and relieved. He's kinda like a side kick puppy. Shows up *peeps* *beggs to stay* and kinda dissapears for work because dad pushed all the jobs onto him so dad can go on vacation with mc. Anyway some ppl wanted her life to be worse, but it was a good read because it wasnt like most stories where they give info as a side thought. Or discribe her fate in one sentence. So from chapter 1-50 mc's tragedy story. 51-141 mc-s happy life. Tangs story is the opposite. 1-50 tangs happy life. 51-141 tangs punishment story. Like i said its an inverse story. So her punishment (including dad and bro) is very long and lasted more than 50 chapters.
No I'm just saying she still got her baby back, MC wasn't the only one that suffered, the friend and his gf did too, because of her snatching, the friend lost the love of his life and his baby in the process.
Yup well you can read 50-141 chapters of her life going downhill. Its pretty lengthy and detailed. Some ppl enjoy reading suffering. She will be suffering the rest of her life. The others all get a makeup wish. The guy did get his baby back. Also im not sure killing tangs innocent child because the mom is bad is the right thing to do. I mean i guess.... But its her sin so she should pay for it not her baby. Not upset but im actually suprised mc didn't use his wish. I thought he would have his dad revert back to normal. He aged fast because of the incident, but maybe mc thinks the dad deserved it so idk.
