Hate the kids. The kids suck. When it comes to super powered teenagers they're my least favorite ever. Just wanted to put that out there
I don't really mind or care to watch those super powered teenagers show. However, my main reason for why I'm like this is because the powers that be tend to sexualize them. Watching adults are one thing, watching teens doing them are not my thing.
The kids always suck, try marvels gifted, the ki d's are trash and always make the worst decision possible. Plus the whole system is unrealistic and lazy.
Putting all those hormones in the midst of real-world decisions that even adults don't want/know how to make...you end up with a convoluted and unrealistic storyline that's riddled with teen angst.
Why watch that when you can watch Static Shock? Easily one the best "black" superhero characters/story ever made.
I don't know about always I liked Teen Titans and Static Shock despite that they were super kiddy and I liked some parts of the first episode of Runaways which is the only one I saw but I could watch more if I skip over certain characters. Because nobody's making new episodes and i've watched the old ones way too much.
That's why they have young looking twenty somethings or even thirty year old s playing teenagers in those shows, so they can do fake sex scenes. It's normalized because shows like teen mom prove young teen are having sex, so it supposed to give the shows some level of validity for to them sexualize the show to keep people hooked when they have little story substance to the show. I just want to see who they pick to be Static Shock since he was supposed to be Black Lighting's protege. Since they shelved his t.v. show and movie adaptation after his creator died. They never got to iron out a contract because of it.
