    This is wrong:
    Novellas are short fictional stories
Novels are fictional stories of book length.
Large Novels can be broken up by Volume.

For fun here are the longest novels ever:

A book is basically a physical container of text and/or images, it doesn't say a thing about the content other than that.
A novel is a format for writing fiction, regardless of if it is in a book or not.
They simply tend to be used interchangably because "most" novels tend to be in bookform.

Although I am thinking going with a name without novel or book in it might be best

Actually, e-books are short for "electronic books". Also, books weren't always made of paper.

I think you worry too much about it. For example:
lnmtl.com has NOTHING to do with Light Novels and yet managed to be popular.

    Thanks
I will try to come up with something

Alphabet is a bad example though
    YouTube
    Chrome
    Android
All first letters of the companies that make up Alphabets have a unique alphabet probably haha

The difference is an e-book is merely a file that is emulating a book format, in some ways an e-reader is closer to being a book than the e-books themselves.

Hmm I'd like to think of it as novels are just stories and like novel can be a sub-type of books.
Books aren't always novels as there's like how-to-cook books, where cooking manuals aren't considered stories but can be in books... so yeah books are the more broad term >.<"

"Merely a file that emulating book format?"
An e-book just means it is a book that is available Digitally. Likewise:
Hardcover book - A Book available with a hardcover
Paperback book - A Book available with a soft cover
Trade paperback book - A softcover paperback book available in a larger size.
Scroll - A group of papyrus sheets glued together in a row to form a book. Typically rolled up.

All of these are types of books. Digital books are simply made using a different medium.

I think that some of it depends on where you're from, but this is how I see it:

Books = Published and available in physical format; fiction or nonfiction.
Novel = A narrative story (typically fiction) that may or may not be a book.
Novella = A short, narrative story that is between a short story and a novel in length. This is sometimes a collection of related short stories.
Story/Fic ("Fiction")/Series = Typical names for a webnovel story itself. Fic can sometimes imply fanfiction, but not always.

    Then, novel derivations:
Webnovel = A narrative story that is posted online in a serialized format (short chapters or even chapter sections).
Light novel = A published story that is written with plot and characters that are more similar to manga/comics than "proper" novels. They often have images, as well. As a whole, they are more polished than webnovels.
