Canada Welcomes Skullie

Skullie is going to Canada. He has never experience the cold before. He is from India like climate. For example, he doesn’t know what it’s like to need to put on skin lotion to keep the heater from drying the skin out. Let’s explain to him all the worst things that could happen~

Remember, by as descriptive as possible. He needs to be able to feel like he’s actually there by reading your posts. Wind chills against the face, scratching skin until you bleed due to dryness, using so many tissues the skin on your nose feels scaly, etc. Say everything you can think of so he knows what to expect~

Yeah don't worry about anything, you'll be fine. If you come around this time of year you'll have time to acclimate to the change. Just, make sure you have a coat just in case of those - 40 days.

This doesn't matter if you don't burn, but keep in mind that a snowy day will require sun screen if it's bright out. And wear shades cause you're basically looking at a bunch of tiny sun's.

 

Canada is closer to the north pole. North pole sounds like nose hole. So I think you shouldn't feel sad if you get a pole up your nose.

 

Right now in Canada it's summer so it's actually fairly warm. However if Skullie is going to be here long enough to encounter winter then he/she/it should definitely bring a coat.

The severity of our winters actually vary a lot depending on where in Canada you are (we have a LOT of landmass) and preparations will differ accordingly. If Skullie is headed to south/central Canada (e.g. Toronto) it won't be too bad as winters there are only about as bad as Europe or some parts of the USA. It's when you start to head a bit more northwards (anywhere in the Canadian shield or above) that things start to get bad.

 

It's funny that people think Canada = Cold. Like, my dad moved to Alaska for a bit and whenever he told people he was from Canada they'd be like "wow, how do you stand the cold?" like they aren't living in Alaska or something.

We're experiencing drought here the temp is ranging from 30°c - 40°c, So yes we would definitely think that canada is cold. It all depends where the country is located.

Also, did you know that arctic means 'bear' and antarctic means 'anti bear'? In other words, we name our north and south poles based on whether or not they have bears!

 

If its West Canada, good luck. Weather has been all over the place lately. Sometimes it would rain and be a bit chilly and sometimes it would be like 30C. It's wild!
