It's exactly as it states: Japanese manga that is Chinese themed. I'm not really searching for manhuas. A well-known example is Akatsuki no Yona (...I think). It can be within any genre so long as it's Chinese-themed. This kind of manga tends to be in the shoujo section, but there are very few. Therefore, my hunger is still not satiated. Here's are all of those I have read so far: Ookami-heika no Hanayome Fushigi Yuugi Saiunkoku Monogatari Mikado no Shihou Kusuriya no Hitorigoto
Kingdom There's also The Ravages of Time which is a Hong Kong manhua but the art style is completely like a manga.
It's old, but some of Yokoyama Mitsuteru's mangas are based on Chinese's Classic Literature, it's a fun read : Sangokushi (Romance of the Three Kingdoms) Shiki / Shiji (Records of the Grand Historian)
Absolutely Kingdom. My favorite manga of all time. It's about the warring period and the journey of Shin, a general in helping his friend, emperor Shi Huang Di to unite China. The fight and war strategy battle is amazing.
tag: china, all mangas half of these: (the other half has china, but isn't really chinese themed) https://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?perpage=50&category=China&type=manga&orderby=rating I recommend: Houshin Engi tekken chinmi ranma 1/2 cooking master boy Ryuurouden (translation stopped though) Sangokushi
Ranma 1/2 (highly chinese themed though it was set in modern) gensoumaden saiyuki (it's journey to the west... with a twist) Koukyuu Days, Shichi joukoku monogatari (I heard it was actually inspired off of Saiunkoku Monogatari) Kaze yo, Banri wo kake yo Hana no Koe
