Double post I'm assuming you can read raws, so read TTNH, it has great romance, OEM too, ATG is not bad since you looked like you can handle the harem.
Alright, I am serious so hear me out. PMG has better romantic developments than a good majority of the xianhuans out there, same goes for MGA. But you may ask, "But the romance is bad in both novels!" it gets iffy at times, and now that I think about it, it is. But decide that after reading it :v
I don't think I've seen any JP novels that have anything that can really constitute a 'romance'. They seem to fall in love with the MC at the slightest sign of kindness...

Sorry, I don't know any. EDIT: I got warned Your best bet would be TJSS works like Douluou Dolu or Skyfire Avenue. Some might question why SA, but I find their playful relationship charming.
A Slight Smile is Very Charming ( upcoming drama, the novel version is very good) Really Really Miss You (很想很想你） left the reader with very warm heart, also... Hungry stomach, vecause the author loves to talk about recipes.
I have read Long Live Summons up to 500s in raw I did find it particularly romantic tbh. If you want action mix romance CN then goes with Tang Jia San Shao, Against the Gods, Transcending the Nine Heavens (not much in current translation, though) novels etc. For Jp novels give Spice and Wolf a try. Reading romance CN without any action would best bet. you can checklist suggested by @CloudySkySadMoon
Latest Pokemon Episode has some advancement in romance! (Lol, although true, I'm joking) How about My Disciple Died Yet Again? The end was a little surprising to me, but so sweet XD
You can also try urban fantasy novels though they are filled with a lot of cliche situations and a lot of fights are with underworld gangs. They are still fun to read when your new to this genre. Check with some translated ones with tag modern day on NU few examples like My wife is beautiful ceo Genius Sword Immortal My Beautiful Teacher School Beauty Personal Bodyguard juenile medical god etc
