With the new update, CSGO has officially goes out for free on steam along with a battle royal mode. I'd highly suggest you get it and play it if haven't. It's one of the best competitive 5v5 demolition game out there along with a community that is a meme and a half.
For the people who bought the game we get a medal and a commemorative mp5-sd skin by leveling up with danger zone battle royal.
So it's free now, but if you don't buy it you can't get prime skins, prime matchmaking, prime drops, etc. etc. Basically free to play for everyone now. Everyone who already bought it before for $25 gets upgraded to prime for free, as far as I know
No, you have every weapon available to you, and you can get boxes and skins in normal matchmaking. The only thing i think that changes is that you don't have access to prime and to battle royal and also some skins, you can still get almost everything the game has to offer
In terms of cosmetic, yes. In terms of gameplay? No. TF2 is basically similar to Overwatch and Dirty Bomb.
And the ability to select prime matching only. Aka, we can choose to not play with those that play for free.
the scrubs getting it only now can't join our Prime matches though. btw, did the intel bug get fixed yet? apparently they only tested danger zone on nvidia and this is why for the whole day yesterday ppl with intel gpus couldn't start the game
Imo, Making csgo for free is a bad move. Yeah it was good and all until hackers come. I mean if hackers get VAC banned they can just make a new account.
Oh well, here goes another game out the window, it started being quite poisonous in the last years anyway ^_^
The influx of player will be going up as will hackers. The problem worsening as the cost is being lifed
