I have already attained a greater understanding in the Dao of MachineTranslations, and its easy for me to follow or finish my favorite novels. Main reason for this is the slow translations or updates of those great novels. Even though i can only understand 70% of what i read and the rest is history. But now it seems i have a new enlightenment into the Dao of Regret. Yes Im regretting it now... there is no tension or excitement right now if i read the translated one, and as a reader we want to read stories with those feelings or emotions...

If only... only if there is a way to enjoy it again...

can somebody tell me or teach me the Dao of Forgetting?... it would be a great help...

PS: Please leave my english alone...

Read it again after like 6 months.

I assure you, you won't remember a thing from the story hence it'll be like reading the story for the first time.

I have a vague memory of me reading the "pursuit of truth" a long time ago but I can't remember jackshit so I get to reread it.

P.S : jabs at your horrendous English.

Not all of us can do that, you know.

Some of us remember everything as soon as we start reading the novel again.

I don’t feel much regret. A while back I wanted to know what happened in returning from the immortal world and couldn’t wait for the next chapter. So I read it on lnmtl. Then I read a lot more. I read the translated chapters a few weeks later up to and past what I read on lnmtl. I was still just as excited~

There is no dao of regret. If you regret, it's because you weren't following the Way. :blobtriumph:

Reading a story with MTL and going back to read the translations is basically the same as re-reading a novel after finishing it once. Why would you expect to be excited or tense while reading a story you already know?

The good part of re-reading is meeting characters you like again, reliving fond memories, getting a better understanding of the story and setting, enjoying the little hints and foreshadowing and easter eggs the author put at the beginning that you might have missed the first time around. Even if you forget everything, you'll still get deja vu instead of tension.

    learn this!
never ever truly ever on your live think while reading~
learn to stop your memory from emerging while you reading~
oh don't over do it though cuz it can lead to fail to understand language~
