Digimon Reboot: Episode Discussion [Spoilers, duh]

On that note, the ultimate move of making a giant tornado of WaruSeadramon and MegaSeadramon was... Absolutely useless. Talk about pointless ultimate attack~

 

Like we've said, it was a filler battle. On the plus side, they at least tried something different from the previous 2 attacks

On another note, I always thought Waruseadramon and Megaseadramon were the same digimon, but with Japanese name VS English name.

Only today I discovered they have different heads... >.>

 

Shame on you. Or maybe it's because seadramon is my favorite digimon that i remembered this...

I always found it weird that it is on Betamon's line though... They don't match very well~

 

Makes more sense than some other evolutions...
I just wish he had more options for mega evolution. Metal seadramon is just not working for me

Oh, true, I never paid much attention to it because I only saw the super low res sprite of it in the digivolution tree of Digimon World DS, so I never noticed that... >.>

He travels land, air, and sea with digimon loaded inside of him ready to be released upon breaching a target.

 

This week's episode was neat, I like that they used the fillerish Seadramon's episode as a build-up to the idea of digimons eating others to evolve. So far we had only seen them eating raw data to evolve, so it's neat to see other digimon being used for this same purpose... I hadn't really considered the implications of that until seeing this week's episode.

What else...? Hikari being as creepy as she is is definitely on purpose, I'm curious to what they're going to do with her~

Oh, and nice seeing Dark Knightmon again, and especially nice seeing Angemon's evolution, that one was really cool~

 

I really enjoyed this one~

Like uhn... Dark Powers having the ability to make you digivolve, with Holy Powers having the ability to nullify those and turn you back to your previous form is a pretty neat duality. I really liked how they played with those.

Taichi also being extremely reckless while fighting Volcdramon for the sake of trying to reassure Hikari felt interesting... I mean, he really needed to run at that moment, but he instead stayed there to fight when it was clearly more than he could chew. I was hoping he would grow from that later on, but instead Hikari's Light just gave him another temp Wargreymon, so he lost a chance to lose and grow from there, which felt a bit bad.

OTOH, he did lose Hikari due to getting careless, so maybe he'll grow from that instead, which isn't bad~

What else...? Mmmmmmm... I'm lacking my Mimium I guess? Though I liked how both she and Palmon decided to just grab some gems for now, it was cute~

 

The way Hikari kept smiling was super creepy.

 

Episode 28

So, when hikari was abducted by Skull Knightmon, my first thought, “Myotismon!?” The cape was a bit different from his though, so then I though, “or is it someone else...”
That said, I wonder if skull knightmon wants Hikari as his partner??

Running might have been the better idea, but I wonder if they would have been able to escape. Although, attacking a flame shield with humans on your head just scream bad idea to me.

That said, even though he relaxed and let his guard down, I’m not so sure he’d have been able to do anything about it. Agumon was down and Taichi isn’t really strong enough to take on a digimon on his own.

I think they could, Volcdramon seemed to be pretty slow~

Well, Agumon seems to be able to recover pretty quickly, so he'd probably be able to do something about it if they saw SkullKnightmon coming... Probably... >.>

 

Volcdramon has an attack that can cover up to 10 kilometers with death.

Also, reference book profiles aren't very useful in the animes usually, things tend to vary a lot between them and how they're depicted in the reference book.

 

I don't think they can fly fast enough to escape it. That said, that's the actual attack, not a reference description. Even if the range doesn't reach 10k, it should still be large enough to capture them.

Whenever volcdramon appears, the producers tend to forget this attack of his

 

Judging by how fast Metal Greymon was when fighting Metal Tyrannomon, I'd say it can fly away safely! ^^)/

And what I meant by reference book descriptions, is that the 10km radius thingy is usually the kind of thing only true in the reference book and basically nowhere else... >.>
