It's literally in-world joke even in the novel than Kazuma cannot make the final step at the last moment (not a don't direct quote, but there is similar expression). The whole love affair with Megumin is cringy as hell. Literally Kazuma brains melted down (though again it is probably his partial misunderstanding), while she suddenly act as some cunning person. Case with Darkness was handled better due to her masohistic actions as it did not stand out that much. Not to mention constant cockblocking, bulling by his own team and so on. Much less power apex lol

I remember dropping Coiling Dragon due to zat - Linley litterally killed tons of people, killed a mother in front of her child, whole family yet still considered himself a victim after that because his father and mother was killed.
