don't even remember the name of the novel but the mc was so arrogant, he waited 10 years and lost out on the best time to start his cultivation just to flex how good he was lmao, some of these chinese authors are just way too focused on the dao of faceslapping that they just forget the dao of common sense

The MC was reborn as a magical cat. There were a bunch of wizards around called flesh and blood wizards who need to use blood from magical beasts for their cultivation. One of these wizards tried to steal the MC blood, and got caught doing it. This part is fine, but that same wizard at that same time stole some of his hair, and he didn't even realize it was a problem. She just reached out and took some of his fur In plain sight, and he only made some mental comment along the lines of 'Ouch, she pulled my hair. What a weirdo." Then a moment later she tries to steal his blood, gets caught, but he never stops to think 'Hmm. that person who just tried to steal my blood for magic reasons also pulled my hair a few seconds ago. Could this positionally be a problem?'. I hate in when authors make the MC suddenly stupid to drive the plot in the direction they want.

 

I've probably seen worse but what sticks out to me is in Gamer of the Dead the MC constantly complaining about how with one slip up he'd get eaten by zombies when he has a bunch of armor in storage that he's not using. Even if it interferes with magic you're not using it most of the time.

 

I've seen too many extremely dumb MC decisions to really pick, so I'll just go with this:

- Saying what he did wasn't worth getting a reward after saving someone's life. Or a country.

Bonus points if he needs something material that the person he saved is very likely to be able to give him, but he tries to give up the reward because "hey, saving your life was so easy I don't feel right being rewarded for it. And anyway, your life isn't worth a reward. Now off to work gathering flowers for coppers so I can save up enough money for an inn room for the night!"

 

Randomly having sex with girls and having to marry them or op mc forced into a marriage and not even resisting

• okay so mc you save a girl from dying cause she was given a sex poison that will kill her if she doesn’t have sex that’s good but letting her guilt you into marriage is stupid you saved her life bitch better just be grateful and leave it at that and not make trouble for you
• op mc literally having the power to kill off the person forcing him to marry his daughter but just letting him marry her to him when he’s just doing it to get mc connected to him for power is annoying like stupid mc just kill him

 

Oh I thought of another one mc dies saving a girl he loved reincarnated into another world of cultivation talking about how he’ll never love again cause he only loved that girl ends up with like 3 wives and turns out the girl he loved he loved more like a sister than lover and she also died and was reincarnated into that world but as his mother and he never noticed not even in the end well it was suggested she was his mother but with all the hints we have in the story it’s very likely

 

#1 is ultimate scheming system? Yeah i hate pis involving the mc and female characters.

 

Eh, depends on if the woman consents or not. I think the one in Against the Gods refused and he was like "too bad" and did it anyway. In that case he should be expected to take responsibility.
