Coz I'm curious. Never read any farming story before. Any suggestions that are good? It's fine if MC is OP just as long as there's a good story. edit: Sorry @perspherspley. Forgot to add. No harems please.
Yeah, farming stories seem hard to write well; it's too SoL (Slice of Life), thus the author has to add drama somehow to make the story exciting, and usually that just burdens the story. Anyways, most of what I've read didn't progress more then a couple of steps, but here they are: -- Note: They are RR novels. Spoiler Serf: The only 'completed' work in this list. VRMMO Tallrock: Another VRMMO; last updated was 3 months ago, but that was just to finish off the volume(?), so take it as the next on, which is 2.5 years ago. Farming for Gold: VRMMO; as the title states, MC does agriculture, and earns money by selling the produces. Seems artificially inflated due to people not wanting put in the work. Farm Life: Basically wish fulfillment; been 2+ years since the last update, so it's 100% dropped. Think it was inspired by Harvest Moon / Rune Factory. Though it has the harem tag, the story didn't progress anywhere far enough for it to show. Blue Hill: Barely set up before it was dropped. Similar to Farm Life, but here, the MC ends up in a game world, and barely knows what to do. IIRC, the author had posted the story before, but deleted it, and reuploaded with a couple more chapters, then stopped all together. Growing Strong: Another dead novel. Honorable Mention: There was another one, I forgot the name of, with a Female MC; something about an ongoing war, along with the land being dead/dying, so people can't produce anything. Started off with the MC harvesting some potatoes, with her friend, that was drafted into the army. While she was home her father came back, after being missing for so long (turns out he was in the mines), and almost raping her, before lord/noble came to talk about payment on something, thus saving her.
... ... It's Easy To Take Care Of A Live-In Hero. Yes, it's a yaoi, don't hit me! It's still a good cheat farming story!
