I was trying to live in the nastalgia by rewatching the fate Stay Night finally and realized that it wasn't what I remembered. Only then did I realize that they didn't include the true ending in the anime. Here you guys go. Feel free to cry with me over this amazing love story.
Can't remember exactly, but didn't Realta Nua come out after the first anime series? And iirc, the true end wasn't in the original release of the VN.
I know, the true ending unlocks after all five endings are done. And Realta Nua was animated? Edit: I just checked on YouTube and it hasn't been animated
Realta Nua is just the same game, except without the sex scenes. What I meant was the epilogue of the Fate route wasn't in the original VN. It was added in Realta Nua. The animation came out earlier than Realta Nua, so that ending didn't yet exist when the anime came out.

I hate F/N. I love the action but the story is too much for me to take. And it's confusing as fuck since I start watching from the second one.
I started from fate zero and it's a huge contrast from Stay Night and unlimited blade works where they spend half the time in a high school and the other half having sleepovers at Shirou's house.
Yeah. F/SN started out as an eroge. Got cut out in Realta Nua in favor of making it CERO C-rated to hit a broader target audience. They're pretty bad, though, so you're not missing out on much if you've never seen them.
