Recommendations Few chapters in, Decent update rate, Any genre.

Hi all,

I'm looking for novels which would be fast to catch up to (i.e. not 300 chapters). Something about 10 chapters should be ideal, but it could go up to 50 without problem, and maybe 100 if the chapters are short. Something like 2 chapters is fine as well. Should be on NU (I'll ask for things outside NU another time).

Ideally it should have a decent update rate, but that's really secondary (I'm planning to read loads of your recommendations so it wouldn't really matter if some have rare updates).

In terms of genres...

• I'm ok with any tone, from Kenkyou Kenjutsu to RE:Hamster.
• Any Japanese novel would generally be ok.
• As for Chinese, I still haven't really gotten into xianxia(?), as many of the recommendations are 300+chapters in. The few I've read (and enjoyed) are Stunning Edge and My Disciple Died Yet Again. Also things outside xianxia (e.g. Legend of the Sun Knight) should be ok.

I noticed I tend to prefer novels with a female MC, if that helps.

The fastest ones updated are xianxia/xuanhuans (male mc) though. Since their speed are boosted with donation money (lots of it) while other title are mostly not.

- its is a bit hard for a first read since you have to bear with a couple chapters (keep the glossary open for chinese terms)

Mistaken marriage match (its a three different stories): Military counsellor, Record of Washed Grievances, Mysteries in the Imperial Harem
- all three are independant but have the same theme

Emperors domination, its xianxia but is in the 30's of chapters it updates daily sometimes twice daily. So good rate and early in.

A Thought Through Eternity, its a cultivation novel, but still very early in the translations. Well written, with a strong focus on comedy.

Coder Lee Yong Ho, a strange twist on the OP cheat MC genre. Well worth a look if you want something in this genre with a bit of realism set in the modern day.

Thirding I'm Really a Superstar.

A Slight Smile is Very Charming, completely translated (48 chapters). Female MC, romance of two gamers. Personally, I read this translation. Not sure about the other one(s).

I know you said not many chapters in, not really into chinese novels and not a fan of xianxia atm, but still i would like to recommend The Demon King Chases his wife. It has a female lead, it is not all about fighting, and it is a really light read. The updates are at a good rate too, with good quality. You will burn through the many chapters without realizing. Give it a try
