Discussion First novel that brought you into BL

I’ve recently been thinking about the first novel i’ve ever read in nu that brought me into this massive world of BL novels. To the point that I now can MTL despite the bad grammar from time to time, lmao.

So, cuz of that, I would also like to know what other’s first experience is like, I guess you can call this a BL nostalgic thread hehe~

-My very first BL novel was: Love Stop Rumors

-How I got to find that: NO CLUE HAHA, my memory completely disappeared for that

-Thoughts: It was pretty interesting, funny thing is, the second novel I read after that was Mo Dao Zu Shi, imagine a newbie reading a chinese cultivation novel, oh how fun that was

Note: Novel only~ My first BL overall was a manga but that doesn’t matter

 

I started with anime series sekaiitchi hatsukoi and i watched many of them till i reached manga and webcomics. The manhua Lord of the Mysteries got me hooked so much that I wanted to know further story. Then I found that it was originally a novel and i completed it.
My first bl was Quickly wear the face of devil and I got hooked in QT novels. I still love to read QT novels and sometimes rebirth BL.

 

Now that you mentioned that, the first novel i’ve read must’ve also been adapted to manga/hua/hwa I just have no clue what it was though hehe

 

I started with Yuri On Ice . Then slowly made my way into the BL world. MDZS donghua/novel is what got me really into BL novels.

 

Mine was how to Survive as a Villain. I started reading the manhua and got hooked... I absolutely had to know what happened next, so I found the novel. But my first intro to BL was also from Yuri on Ice-- like faxel.

 

Mo Dao Zu Shi

 

My first BL journey started when I watched the Thai drama " Waterboyy: the series " later I binged on watching Thai BL dramas one by one ( I got addicted ).

For novel, I really forgot, may be it was
< How to secretly > sadly there is no English translated book now. It's a Thai novel, about one of the CP's from the drama “ Love by Chance ” goes with the novel of same name.
Thailand was more flourishing in BLs when I got in the loophole of BL.

My first bl is boku no pico lol
I should not have stayed up late at 12 am and search for anime recommendation and dive into that YouTube algorithm rabbit hole

 

Quickly Wear the Face of the Devil! I still remember the characters and plot up to this day and I read the chapters when they originally came out.

Interestingly enough, I've actually rarely come across a thai bl novels for the past years, but Tons for tv series lol (Sotus my first)

 

Yes I’ve learned what a d*ck circle is.

 

I’ve been reading bl manga for years. But the first bl novel I read was “The Legendary Master’s Wife.” That’s why it’ll always have a place in my heart.

 

I m not sure which one out of the two -agreement of being gay for 30 days or qt fod

 

I still put it in my list to read.
Need to go back to read it, but it's soooooo long!
