Discussion For beginners

I have a couple friends in there twentys who are interesting in watching some anime and reading manga what are some anime you would recommend for people who never watched any before
(I had some who asked me before and now they don't talk to me might have something to do with recommending them school days and mirai nikki ...)

 

i normally recommend code geass or death note to starters but they do not like a lot of things after that

 

Hmmm so recommend a relatively boring anime, but not so boring they will never touch anime again ..... does sao fit in that category ?

 

i think don't give title with hard genre
ask them about genre first.
and u can decide what anime you give them

 

if u want people to became anime hungry make them like naruto or one piece or bleach

 

Still depends on what genres they like, and if theyre planning on watching subs/dubs. If they like the action/guns stuff Black Lagoon probably isn't a bad place to start, and both the subs/dubs are fine (I hate dubs though).

More recently you could try Attack on Titan if you think that kind of thing would interest them, or like Kill la Kill/TTGL if you think crazy/over the top is what they're going to expect from anime.

Yeah, I'd say it does. It's probably not a bad place to start just don't hope it kills their interest off

Give them makoto shinkai's stuff for visuals? or K.
For music, yuki kajiura works in tsubasa reservoir chronicle, or guilty crown works too..
For story, TTGL, maybe another shounen anime works.

 

The great anime that is known as Death Note can be and should be viewed by every living thing.

 

It should but if they do not like any of these they may leave it so ask there fav genre first

 

Slice of life, rom-com genre should be fine for starters...

 

One piece was pretty fun when it started. As for the other one, i would recommend vandread. Its pretty upbeat with a lot of actions. How about gundam seed?

 

As for manga, i would recommend slam dunk and full metal alchemist.

 

One likes sci fi so ill recommend gundam seed to him and code geass, another likes action and the last likes romance and historical

 

For action watch hunter x hunter

 

if they are sci - fi fans why not steins gate? (which is masterpiece for me >.<) and for action seekers itll be one punch man , samurai champloo aND cow boy bebop , for something cool FLCL and for girls tonari no kaibutsu kun ( one of my favs >.< ) , kaichou wa maid sama (another fave) , kami sama hajimemashita, special A, tora dora, and of course inari kon kon, for ecchi seekers ( >//<) with good plot no game no life and for something with a lot of budget fates series (escplly. UBW). and my top one monogatari series (because of hanekawa~)

 

I would say Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, but when you're starting with one of the best, it's hard for other animes to match up.

 

Yeah hiatus x hiatus is a good one too

 

Would clannad be a good one to recommend to the romance lover?
