Forgotten Title Forgotten please Help (Found: Sin City)

I can't remember the summary of the novel but i can still give some part of it in hope that it can help..

The MC from childhood, his mother never let him join his peers in hunting animals in the forest/mountain, she only let him go and ask him to pickup/harvest jackfruit. And on the night of his birthday he and his mother perform his coming of age ceremony under the moon..

That's what i remember. And ohw her mother is a high elf or high Lunar elf or something of a sort cuz their tribe worship the Lunar God..
