Is Gu Yin the one were he hates the MC or something and his sister Gu Xin Yan likes the MC (in her male form) Well I pretty sure that his real father his the so called Lord or God which the MC has to beat also his sister isn't exactly his real sister and don't think his fond of his sister as he made his sister be servant for him but however he would kill the MC after his sister died (she was saved by MC after GY left) so basically he is kinda fond of his sister. Gu died protecting SY who was injured. Grandmaster died to protect JWX’s group and co to run to the lower realm. The higher realms ppl are involved in this.
You're confusing it with OEM(Otherworldly Evil Monarch). Both novels have similarly named protagonists(Jun Moxie, Jun Wu Xie), old grandpa who was a great general, poisoned uncle and the king who is responsible for what has happened.
