Seeing lots and lots of hate towards Gravity Tales. Let's just give them a chance to explain. Well there's really no need in the first place since, if Gravity Tales wants to cooperate with Qidian, then that's their choice.

 

So -if- GT is owned by QI... I wonder where things stand in regards to the other license deals they got with Zongheng and iReader. I mean its one thing to license out to an independent company that is translating novels vs handing a license to a translating company owned by a competitor.

 

Qidian International is part of China Reading.

 

Alright, time for my personal opinion based on being a staff member of GT and knowing everyone, this is coming as a shock to a very large majority (99%) of GT if it's true. As of right now all GT personnel are waiting on GGP to wake up (he's still in China) so it'll be a little while till can he clarify the situation. So please before you go blasting GT itself and blocking everything we do, realize that you're potentially harming innocents whom had no knowledge of this document. We were caught just as unawares as the rest of y'all.

I got here, posted something, left for 2 minutes, saw a shit ton of things, saw hate, and is now questioning wtf is happening to life anymore.

 

This is no "second party" in something like this. GGP would likely be the thirdparty, meaning he isn't part of CR, but a third party to it that owns part of GT.

 

2nd question - is it natural for GT personnel to not know anything ?

 

I don't really mind. GT is still GT, but now they have more novels. If QI really did this then at least they are learning and reaching out for someone who knows the market. I see this as a good sign. Ad-wall too is a good one. Annoying as fuck, yes, but at least is better than paywall. I still don't like Qidian, but I respect GGP and GT and I'd rather be optimistic about this. Time will tell how this will turn out.

 

When did i mock them ?! When was i ungrateful ? I don't read CN novels so i don't even have a reason to be grateful in the first place! My problem wasn't with any of the sides in this debacle. My problem was you insulting people for their free expressions for no other reason than "they are doing it for free!". No one insulted any translators you were the one who mentioned them to have a a free pass for acting like an a**hole to other people
