Unfortunately, he was still in a coma because of the injury and also the concubine didn’t allow the MC to enter. (The concubine knows the ML didn’t do it, but thought it is a good chance to get rid of him) Good thing the ML grandfather and the emperor father appeared and the ML was rescued. 2- this happen after the ML was released form the prison. The emperor immediately gave the ML a mission to investigate an ore? Mine? In a mountain (don’t remember really) But that mountain was already searched and there was nothing found in the past It was hinted here and there that was the emperor plan. And because of some blind greed, they will attack him and get some money and benefit from the ore But, apparently that may not be the plan, because the ML was making a lot of detours and check every town they pass. Every place he visit, he would find evedince about corrupt officials and were arrested one by one. Because of that, the ML’s haters increased and would ambush him later. He was ambush by 3 groups. And I think one of the groups was the emperor underline and poisoned him with a one of the strongest deadly poisons. It was one that thought there is no cure for. The ML was in a coma and only have a few days to live. Thankfully, one of the ML underline had a master who may have found a cure. But they don’t know where he is but the underline junior sister may know how to cure the poison. To manage to cure the ML, they needed 3 rare herbs. The junior had one and manage to extend his life up to 3 months (and he wakes up at that time). Now they are traveling to look for the 2nd herb. A gift from the emperor was broken and concubine sounded rightfully and said to punish her with 50 strike!!!!. Not sure, but it could have killed her or left her half dead. The 4th prince arrived before it happen and couldn’t stop his mother. The empress arrive and stoped it to save her face) So the 4th prince wanted strength to protect her. + he wanted later to beg his mother and father to cancel the engagement between the MC and the ML. He likes her and wanted to marry her. But he still don’t have power yet. The concubine almost panic when she discover her son thought (I think he told her) But she used that to her advantage and told him that the MC is already his brother fiancé. If he fancy her, then he needs more strength to take what is not his
